Human rights and the Environment legal webinar

Join the ACT Law Society’s Access to Justice and Inclusion Committee on 31 July for a webinar on human rights and the environment.

The United Nations has recognised that everyone has the right to live in a clean, healthy and sustainable environment. In December 2022, the ACT became the first jurisdiction in Australia to commit to legislating the right in the Human Rights Act 2004 (ACT). Join Melanie Montalban (Managing Lawyer, Environmental Defenders Office ACT) for a discussion on the right to a healthy environment, and the intersection of human rights and environmental law more broadly.
